Catherine “Cat” Buckley has been promoted to Supervisor of e-Commerce Customer Service and Returns for Gordon Electric Supply, a distributor of electrical and lighting supplies. She began working at Gordon in the summer of 2021 as an eCommerce Customer Service Representative, bringing years of previous customer service and management experience.
In her new role, Cat will be overseeing the quality and timeliness of answering customer inquiries to provide them with the most up-to-date information for their orders. Her previous management experience will be an asset to guide the customer service team.
“I’m excited to utilize our new system to its full potential, showing how we are able to work better as a team and communicate with the customer faster than ever,” said Buckley, adding that she is interested in “new techniques in which we can better serve our customers with monitoring their order and working together with the sales team to provide the best customer service possible.”
In mid-May, Cat Buckley joined the Gordon Electric Supply team as a new e-commerce customer service representative where she will connect with online customers, handling customer service inquiries and processing orders.
Longtime customer service representative, Margaret Lamb said, “Cat is truly proving to be a great addition to our team” and that she is impressed with “how quickly she has become a valuable asset.”
It is no surprise that Cat settled into the position with the experience she brings from previous roles in customer service and management. We look forward to seeing her growth in the months to come.
A news brief about Cat’s hiring was featured in the July 7th edition of The Daily Journal.
Gordon Electric Supply recently hired Brad Robbins as an e-commerce customer service representative.
Brad brings both customer service and sales experience from years working in the retail industry. Previously, he was a business owner and worked in the music industry where he enjoyed traveling to multiple countries. In his free-time, he enjoys cooking and listening to music.
In his current position as an e-commerce representative, Brad’s responsibilities will include building relationships with online customers, processing orders, and handling customer service calls. We are excited to have Brad as part of the Gordon team and utilize his experience. “Everyone has been great and very welcoming from day one,” Brad said and added that it is a “great feeling to be a part of something bigger than one’s self–that you actually have an impact on the outcome.”
A main goal of web design is creating an efficient user experience for site visitors, often based on easy navigation and page loading speed. Another element of an efficient website is providing tools for the user to find what they are searching for.
In November, we launched a new search filter on our website that shows which products from your search are made in America. So many of the brands that we sell are manufactured in the United States, and we wanted to highlight this information normally located in the specification section after clicking on a product.
All you need to do is enter what you are looking for in the search bar:
Or Click on the Shop Now or Manufacturers tabs to view product types and brands Gordon supplies:
Once you reach the results page, you can choose to show only the American made products by clicking on “Made in USA” option on the search filter bar on the left side of the screen.
This will show all of the products from your search that are made in the USA. Pretty simple, right?
We want to thank all of our partners for providing new, updated product information. And we hope you enjoy the new search filter!
