Gordon Electric Supply recently hired Jacob Ottenfeld as a Human Resources Assistant and Mason Walters as an E-Commerce Support Specialist, respectively.
Jacob is a recent graduate of St. Xavier University with a degree in Human Resources and previously worked as an events coordinator assistant. This interpersonal experience and a previous role as a Human Resources Intern will be an asset to his new role where assist in onboarding all new hires, maintain all personnel files, updates various documents and assists employees with any questions that may arise.
“I am thrilled to have Jacob join the HR team,” said Sheri Ritchie, Human Resource Manager, adding that “together we will continue to strive to make Gordon an ‘Employer of Choice.’” Jacob will move to Gordon’s Mokena office after completing training in Kankakee.
Mason, a Bourbonnais native, brings a few years of sales experience to his role as an e-commerce support specialist at Gordon. He previously worked as a supervisor for five years in the retail and restaurant industries.
Mason’s responsibilities as an e-commerce support specialist include building relationships with online customers, processing orders, and handling customer service calls. He has already become a “great addition to our sales support team,” says Catherine Tibbs, E-Commerce Customer Service Supervisor, adding that “Mason is a quick learner, thorough, and is a great communicator.”
