Samantha Barone has been hired by Gordon Electric Supply as the new e-commerce customer service representative. She will be working with the web sales team in support of our customers by providing helpful information and answering questions.
Samantha’s computer skills will be an asset to the team from her experience working on inventory management at a local train yard as well as the completion of Computer Applications courses. She is excited to join Gordon after learning about “how everyone works together and the opportunities to grow,” Samantha said, adding, “I knew I wanted to be a part of that.” In her free time, she enjoys reading and trying new foods.
A news brief about Samantha’s hiring was published in The Daily Journal on October 28, 2020 and can be read here.
Gordon Electric Supply is proud to announce its continued growth with the addition of Rick Martin to the company.
Rick joins the sales team as an outside account manager with responsibilities that include establishing relationships with customers and selling energy efficient lighting and electrical solutions. He brings several years of sales experience and familiarity with the installation of electrical products and lighting solutions.
Jim Perkovich has been hired by Gordon Electric Supply as the new senior inside account manager.
Jim, who is nicknamed Perk, has worked in the electrical distribution industry for the past 28 years—first as a driver then progressing to inventory management and inside sales. His previous sales positions offered the opportunity to work with some of the largest contractors in the Chicagoland area. He lives in Orland Park and is excited to work locally from the Mokena branch of Gordon. Jim “gladly steps in to help in any capacity,” Mokena branch manager Josh Corson said, adding that “it was the first time I have hired a new employee and received calls from customers saying things like ‘Perk is my guy.’”
